The deep-red Aglaonema with bold, dramatic colouring
Aglaonema Geely Red takes the Chinese Evergreen’s signature colour-in-low-light performance and turns it up — the foliage is a deep, saturated red with strong green contrast. Like all Aglaonemas, it holds this colouration in conditions where other red plants would fade completely.
What’s in the pack
- One rooted Aglaonema Geely Red — established in pot, actively growing
- Pot — as selected at checkout
Setting up your Aglaonema Geely Red
- Unbox carefully — remove all packaging and inspect the plant. Minor leaf droop after transit is normal and recovers within 24–48 hours.
- Choose your location — low to medium indirect light. Avoid direct sun on new arrivals.
- Acclimate for 2–4 weeks — resist the urge to repot or fertilise immediately. Let the plant adjust to your specific conditions first.
- First watering — check the top 3–4 cm of substrate. Water only when it feels dry to the touch. Err on the dry side for the first few weeks.
- Ongoing care — once established, aglaonema are extremely adaptable and forgiving — one of the easiest tropical plants to settle into a new home..
Repotting
- When to repot — repot when roots circle the base or emerge from drainage holes. go up one pot size only.
- Substrate — well-draining potting mix with 20–30% perlite. avoid heavy, water-retentive soils.
- Method — water the plant the day before, repot at the same depth, water in gently and wait for the top layer to dry before resuming normal watering.
