Most pest problems hide on the undersides of leaves, right where standard spray bottles fail. When you tip a normal bottle backwards to spray underneath a plant, the internal straw sucks air, and the spraying stops. This bottle-top pressure sprayer solves that completely with a flexible gooseneck nozzle.
You simply screw this pump head onto a standard 1.5L soft drink bottle, build up a little pressure with the manual push-pull handle, and bend the nozzle tip upwards. You get a continuous, adjustable mist exactly where you need it, while the bottle stays perfectly upright. It’s an inexpensive, incredibly practical tool for mixing small, fresh batches of neem oil or foliar fertilizers.

A pressure sprayer that actually reaches under the leaves.
If you have ever tried to treat spider mites or aphids, you know you have to coat the underside of the foliage. This simple tool turns an empty soda bottle into a targeted pressure sprayer designed specifically for that job.
Instead of squeezing a trigger repeatedly, you pump the back handle a few times to pressurise the bottle. A single press of the top button then releases a continuous spray. Because the front nozzle is housed on a bendable gooseneck, you can angle the mist up, down, or sideways without tilting the heavy bottle.
Why it works so well
- Bendable gooseneck: Angle the nozzle up to easily coat the undersides of large tropical leaves.
- Continuous pressure spray: Saves your hands from the cramping of standard trigger bottles.
- Fully adjustable brass tip: Twist to change from a delicate fine mist for humidity, to a solid stream for blasting away pests.
- Upcycles your plastic waste: Fits standard carbonated beverage threads perfectly (1.5L bottles are ideal).
How to set up and use your bottle sprayer
For the best results and safety, always use an empty carbonated soft drink bottle (like Coca-Cola, Sprite, or generic soda bottles). Their plastic is specifically manufactured to withstand internal gas pressure safely. Standard thin mineral water bottles will warp or pop.
- Prepare your bottle: Fill a 1.5L soft drink bottle with your water, neem oil mix, or fertilizer. Leave about 20% of the bottle empty—you need this space for the air pressure to build up.
- Assemble the sprayer: Push the clear plastic suction straw firmly into the base of the green sprayer head.
- Seal it tight: Screw the sprayer head onto your bottle. Make sure it is completely tight so air cannot escape.
- Pressurise: Pull and push the red back handle about 10 to 15 times until you feel firm resistance.
- Adjust and spray: Bend the gooseneck to your desired angle. Press the red top button to spray. Twist the brass tip left or right to switch between a fine mist and a direct stream.

Frequently Asked Questions
Will this fit my standard mineral water bottle?
Usually, no. Mineral water bottles often have shallower threads and thinner plastic. You must use a carbonated soft drink bottle. Not only do the threads match this sprayer perfectly, but the thicker plastic is safely designed to handle the pressure you will be pumping into it.
The spray is coming out weak. What is wrong?
You likely need more air pressure inside the bottle. Give the back handle a few more pumps. If the spray is still weak, check two things: first, make sure the brass tip isn't screwed down completely tight. Second, ensure the sprayer is screwed tightly onto the bottle so air isn't leaking out the sides.
Can I leave neem oil mixed inside the bottle?
We don't recommend it. Oils and fertilizers can separate and clog the narrow suction tube or the brass tip if left sitting for days. When you finish your treatment, it is best practice to put the sprayer head on a bottle of clean water and spray for a few seconds to flush the system out.
What is the spare black rubber ring for?
That is your spare O-ring. Inside the cap where it screws onto the bottle, there is a rubber washer that keeps the air pressure trapped. Over many months of tightening and untightening, this ring can wear flat. Keep the spare safe so you can replace it if the bottle ever stops holding pressure.
