Setting Up Your Halo Light
Installation takes less than two minutes. The inline controller remembers your settings, so you only need to set it up once.
- Stake it carefully: Push the spiked end of the telescopic pole directly into the soil. Aim for the edge of the pot to avoid stabbing the main root ball.
- Adjust the height: Extend the pole so the light ring sits roughly 2 to 4 inches above the highest leaves. Move it up as the plant grows.
- Plug it in: Connect the USB cable to any standard 5V phone charger brick (not included) or a powered USB hub.
- Set the intensity: Use the bulb icon button to cycle through 25%, 50%, 75%, and 100% brightness. Use 100% for succulents, and 50-75% for low-light foliage plants like ZZ plants or Pothos.
- Set the timer: Press the clock icon to select 4, 8, or 12 hours. The light will automatically turn off, and turn back on at the exact same time tomorrow.

Does this come with a wall plug?
No. To keep costs down and reduce e-waste, this light terminates in a standard USB-A cable. You can plug it into any old smartphone charger brick, a computer USB port, or a multi-port charging station.
Will the light burn my plant's leaves?
LEDs run incredibly cool compared to older grow lights. However, if the ring is physically touching the leaves, it can cause localized stress. Keep the light at least 2 to 3 inches above the canopy, and your plant will be perfectly safe.
Can I use this for seed starting?
Yes. The full-spectrum warm white light is excellent for seedlings. Keep the light low (close to the soil) and run it on the 12-hour setting to prevent the seedlings from stretching and getting leggy.
What happens if there is a power cut?
If the power drops out completely, the inline timer will reset. You will need to press the power button and set the timer again when the power returns so it knows what time to start its daily cycle.
